Today's tuition session made me laugh a little.

I made him write a mini journal entry and this is what he churned out today:

"Today I Go to the zoo. I saw a Lion and Orang-utan. and all the animal.
And odd so Heppopotmus."

Keep in mind the fact that I just thought him the spelling of Hippopotamus
just 3 weeks ago. *shakes head*

Nonetheless it made me smile at his sillyness. the poor boy developed a tummyache
so I sent him home early. he even asked if he had to stay longer on wednesday.
HAHAHA.

Been quite a tiring day. Somehow I just feel like a grouch. Grrrr.

Family Sunday.

I bailed out on the weekly Bukit Timah Hill climb this morning due to
some cramps so I decided to just stay in bed and boy was it good to sleep
in on a sunday morning. : ) But I am feeling the guilt of having missed out on an exercise chance cos I am feeling very very very fat indeed. Argghh.

Well anyway then mum sis and I headed to Tangs cos both of them had vouchers,
and I ended up buying a set of Taboo!! I love that game cos it's so much fun.
Can't wait to invite people over to play. : )

It's say 20 mins to the start of a brand new week. One meeting coming right
up to start my monday off, followed by tuition later in the night.

I'm gonna make sure I emerge a healthy (meaning having done some sort of
exercise at least 3 times and have not eaten excessively) girl at the end
of this week.

Good week to everyone!

I'm out.

I'm back I'm back I'm back!!

And so I decided to change my blogskin cos I had that annoying angelfire thing
on my background here as well when using the desktop. But anyway I can't
quite seem to bring the dumb tatty bear pic downwards so heck.. I just
wanted to find one that was big enough to not cram the pics..

So as you would have seen from the pic slideshow above, my trip was mainly
EAT EAT EAT! but I really enjoyed myself : )) Cos it was so fun navigating
our way in a foreign place!!! I remembered some of the places from my
last trip there so navigation was quite easy : ) And jason had quite good
direction sense so we weren't lost at all. Plus we covered all that we
wanted to do and eat it was really satisfying.

Being the month of July, the streets of hk screamed SALE everywhere lar!!!
So the shopaholic me nearly went crazy, but being with Jason I had to
restrain myself a little. And so I didn't exactly buy LOADS, but enough
for him to still say I was a scary shopper. But I was chanced upon this
cute stuff bazzaar and everything was soo nice I think if I lived in hk
I would have bought up the entire bazaaar. They even had Winnie the Pooh
toilet seat covers and Mickey Mouse ironing boards?? *gasp* We had one day
to cover the shopping bits so it was just nice I suppose.. As per norm we
walked loads.. and in the end I had quite a bit of money left in my octopus
card!! Darn..

I think my favourite meal would have had to be the spagetthi house one.
We were soo hungry after settling the check in stuff that we devoured
everything and it was reallly super duper yummy! It started off with
lobster bisque, then a lobster and scallop pasta, and baby back ribs bbq-ed,
before ending off with a hot milk tea. It was, divine. All that for about
30 bucks per person! The tim sum was gooood too! Recommended by Aps,
we went at an earlier time and got special discounts!!!! We ate heaps and
it cost us about 30 plus bucks!!! And not to be missed, we had "shui liu shan"
3 times throughout the trip. Haha I'm still super in lvoe with the drinks and dessert. Mango-fied and shioook!!

I chanced upon the smelly toufu twice but didn't have the appetite to
have it. The smell was urrrgggghhhh but I think it tastes pretty good.
Haha from what I remembered the last time I had it at least.. Jason was
quite put off by it though! He said it felt like shit in your mouth. YUGGGGG.

Oh and I plucked up the courage to go on the 20 storey drop thing at
Ocean Park. I was quite freaked out to see other people's legs dangling
up there!!!! Sigh but anyway I went on with it and had both my hands and
legs trembling by the time the ride ended. IT WAS SOO FREAKY. Well not
as bad as the reverse bungee on, but still was bad. Highly exhilarating
and I screamed my backside off. The weather however was scorching. I
commented that it was prolly the first time I had ever seen hk people
in shorts and t-shirts. Haha but one funny thing was that girls never wore
spags or halters.. it was always t-shirt or something with sleeves. Hmmm
though it was damn hot!! I nearly metled at Ocean park where the sun was
just unbearable and there were so many people. I had an unpleasant
encounter with the uncivilised, but oh well I screamed back into
their ears so I felt appeased. Haha shit I am quite uncivilised too.

Well now that I'm back and fully rested, it's time to arggghhh get
started on the work that has been left waiting for me. : ((
School starts in a week's time and I'm still lagging!!! Gosh.
I haven't even done up the preparation stuff for my upcoming mini
house party.. What a drag.. but I will see to it soon I hope.
Next week seems like it's gonna be a packed week. And I'm off
to Malacca on Saturday! Short weekend trip... another eating one
I suppose haha but that means one very very good news.
Dunkin Donuts here I come again!!

Someone please, sponsor me to Marie France.

I'M BURNT!!!!!!

It sure felt weird being the only girl in the male dominated swimming complex but I had good fun nonetheless.. On the contrary, I was the one who worked out today. Haha I swam a total of 22 laps while Jason just lazed in the sun. He even brought his tanning oil along!!! And I ended up being the lobster burnt one in the end..

We went to the wavepool too and that's where I got burnt in the noon sun I suppose. I drank a gallon of poll water thanks to Jason who dunked me a million times. gahhhhh.

My appetite now is so scary I can eat a bull. Haha too much swimming for me.

3 more days to my holiday!!! I'm gonna get packed tonight.

Letting things out and letting the other party know of my intentions definately made me feel much better. : )

Night out with Sarah and Stace was no less than an entirely enjoyable, lotsa laughs and really good catch-up night. I haven't seen these babes for about a year!! Sarah had to leave early but we managed to catch up quite a bit... then it was non-stop chatting with Stace and her sis gave me a lift home!! : ))

Guess good friends are just never lost. : ) We've been wanting to meet up since v v v long ago but due to busy schedules it was always put off. Thank God my tuition was cancelled tonight so we could have our long awaited meet. I think even if we didn't meet for 2 years things will never change. But of course, 2 years is too agonising and one night would never be enough to fill each other in. Therefore we've set a date to check out some Chinatown accessories next next week!!! Hope it materialises..

On the other hand I was quite offended to receive a msn message which took quite a lot of courage on her part to type it out, but I was still rather put off. Perhaps I have been quite slack in maintaining the friendship but I did try. And I don't think it's very nice to not appreciate what your friends give to you because to them they may have thought that it was an appropriate gift. Friendships are not measured based on gifts. It is about the bond that still exists.

*shrugs* I hope I'm not taking this too negatively. But it has set me thinking quite a bit.

One for Cameron....

I have more pics of pretty pretty Cacti!! but shan't bore you guys with that : )

And one for the cousin's night out...

Enjoy! Pics from cousin's night out can also be seen at Tess's blog.. she has more I think

Back from my trip to Cameron highlands...

Wasn't exactly a "healthy" one for me cos as per norm of all KL trips, we ate like mad. That's just the lim family tradition. Now looking at all the pics that I took, I look so damn fat!!! ARGHHHHHHH. But that's not the main point. The main point is I had one problem after another. My lips swelled, I had constipation problems, my money got stolen and basically I just had a bad trip. I think I've become quite allergic to Malaysia. Everytime I go something happens to my body. : (

But there were good times of course, having some minor catching-up sessions here and there and playing some russian poker. It's been a long while since I played that. Haha. Aps and I even bought some cheapo badminton rackets to play there cos there was an open space in front of the chalet bungalow. At night we played indoors and got the aunties and uncles involved too. HAHAHA! My aunt and I held the record of 138 hits. WOOHOO! The weather was shiok too. It got really cold at night we had to switch on the heater. And my lips just couldn't take the transition from uber hot to pretty cold weather so it swelled and for 2 days I applied lipcare every 20 mins or so and some moisturiser every half an hour. What agony.

The place that we stayed in was quite nice too. It was a secluded bungalow atop a mini hill, and there was no one else there except us. However my mum, aps and I each lost some money there. The theif didn't even take our wallets. He just took some money out of each wallet. What the... perhaps people there are more guilt ridden. Ha ha ha but oh wells can't get the money back so shall just put it behind me.

Life in Cameron Highlands is so simple. The people basically just plant alot of vege and fruits then they sell them. And it's sooooo fresh my aunts bought HEAPS. The car was so filled it was rather funny. Something our of the norm was that we had organic steamboat one night and as unappetizing as it may sound, it actually tasted rather good!!! Lotsa vege (duhh) but the soup was sweet and really yummy : ) We visited many many farms too and bought some Cacti. Wahaha I'm gonna make sure mine has flowers!!! Will post a pic up there when it blooms. Perhaps 3 years later. hahaha I bought Jason one too and made him promise it won't die. You know guys and plants.... = disaster.

Well anyway then it was back to KL for one last night before heading back to home sweet home. Had a cousin's night out at Williams.. yummylicious food again! I went there on my last trip and it was sooooo good. And cheap too but if you weren't a local I think you'd never figure out how to get there.

Came back to Singapore with a very unsettled tummy. Argghhh.

I'll post some pics up later.. somemore can be found over at Aps's blog.. Look out for those dunkin pics. I'm still very much in loveeeee with them. Ha ha ha we bought a MASSIVE 24 pieces back to Singapore to share the donut joy with some sg peeps. Wheee!

I had lunch with Jason just hours ago and we went to change some money for our hk trip. I can't wait for next monday to come : ) Having learnt my lesson from KL, I'm gonna pack some fybogel into my luggage too. Hurhurhur.

Am gonna prepare to meet up with Sarah and Stace later on.. it's been AGES! I'm soo looking forward to it. : ))

Cheerios!

I had a day all planned out to conquer the tree-top walk today. I use the word conquer because i have to take a one hour plus bus there and back and the walk takes about 3 hours. So this morning I awoke, filled my bottle with water and headed to prepare the sandwiches. Then I called Jason up and he suggested going after we get our NDS-s so that we'll be entertained during the busride. Ok! So plans got changed to swimming instead.

I've gotten into this I WANNA EXERCISE!! mode after reading a certain girl's blog and how exercise has changed her almost entirely, but unfortunately plans for swimming got blotched as well because we ended up nua-ing instead.

In the end I met up with Cher for dinner and some shopping at Orchard. Hadn't seen that girl for quite some time so it was a nice meet-up with my hunny bunny. She got her Levis jeans and I picked up an Adidas sports watch for myself (getting into the exercise mode). Haha well we had some good eye candies to ogle at too.

Then I came home to some incessant nagging which seriously entirely spoiled my mood. This is the reason why I dislike dinners with my family nowadays because it ends up in a mini fight about money matters. I bore the brunt of her cranky mood today and I feel quite injusticed and absolutely understanding aps's dark cloud which gloomed above her last night. I'm just wondering why she likes to prey on our money so much. Sometimes I wonder if withdrawing all my money from the bank and slapping it in front of her would appease her, but that would be dumb of me.

Months ahead seem tough. Hope this settles itself out. As for now my holiday mood has been dampened a little.

Update: There is indeed NO Grey's Anatomy tonight. Great! Just when I remember the time slot of that series. I am rather devastated. : ( In replacement they're showing the world cup finals replay. BOO!

It's monday night and I remembered!!! *Jumps up and Down*

Well every monday night I forget entirely that Grey's Anatomy shows on channel 5. So therefore tonight when Jason said he was going home to watch Armed Reaction it suddenly dawned upon me that it's Grey's Anatomy night! But, please tell me it's still running or I'll just drop my jaw for about 2 mins from the disappointment.

And so the world cup season has come to an end. Didn't catch every match, but just enough to make me satisfied. : ) If they played at more sane hours perhaps it would have been possible to catch every match. Haha but oh well the late night scavenging for food has been rather fun. I drank 52342 types of drinks and ate 32535 different kinds of food just to keep my eyes open. Now you can probably guess what repercussions I suffer from. Aye aye.

On the brighter side, I played badminton after a 5-6 year hiatus from the game. Ha ha ha. It was really fun!!! Am looking forward to going more often. Since my "trainer" probably has much more to teach me about. I was so lost when we decided on playing a 3-round singles match. Other than this hmmm the exercise regime is back to its normal dead mundane mode. Yikes!

I'm gonna take an entire tomorrow to just stay home, chill out and relax then meet the boy for dinner at night followed by "Operation SeaEagle". Hmmm is there such a thing as a seaeagle?!?!?! Anyway just a term for our plan of action.

Did I mention that I have yet another kill-me-now ulcer? They just don't go away. Sigh. And this evening the brave soul here put some salt on it, promptly walked quickly through the house once then rushed to the basin to have it rinsed off. I decided walking round the house would have been a better option as compared to writhing on the floor. The pain, is indescribable. It bites. Ouch. And worse, my ulcer turned out a little swollen at its sides, and the middle part turned real yellow. O_o.

Time for my dose of Redoxon!

I have to blog tonight.

Because I want to share my joy and excitement of owning my first polaroid camera!!!!!

Ok la I have to say I'm damn slow in getting one, but the idea didn't strike me till Aps told me about one of her marraige ideas so I stole one of them for my upcoming mini birthday party : ) Therefore after scouting a little at Jurong Point, I was quite disappointed that the prices were kinda off budget.

But, Jason went online and found a second hand one for me which we went to buy from the seller today. And it's as good as new!!! I'm soooooo happy about it. We bought some film beforehand to test the cam out and my test shot came out rather nice. *Beams* Though the film ain't cheap, I'm looking forward to snapping away!!!!!!! : )))))

Other than that I finally found nice exercise pants from Adidas that were of reasonable price. Yay. But that doesn't top my polaroid excitement. Hee hee hee...

Well in other news, let me share about how hair tearing my tuition session went last night. There was a picture of a man standing on a grass like patch with flowers on it. Below are jumbled up letters which Sean is supposed to rearrange to form the correct word to describe the man's job, which is gardener!

So, after 10 secs of looking at the picture Sean says "I don't know" (With that annoying shrug) So as a teacher-t0-be, the instinct of asking probing questions came naturally.

An: Where are flowers usually grown?
Sean: In the grass
An: Uh-huh... so where is grass normally found?
Sean: Downstairs lor!
An: -_-"""""""""" hmmm if I have a BIG house where can I find grass??
Sean: You know hor, inside a small house also can have grass.

An promptly stretches her hands to wring the neck of Sean.

In other other news, school experience has been alright. Observed and learnt quite a bit, and the week has flown by rather quickly with the 2 matches of course. I'm happy with the finalists. Go Italy!

One more day of attachment tomorrow. It's gonna be a lonng day but I'm looking forward to it.

Good Night!!!!
